With the holidays fast approaching and Santa on the way, many people are stressed out and worried over health, money, and what to get that special someone. Each day we have stress, yet it seems that around the holidays we put extra stress on ourselves. Extra stress to perform, buy, and work harder. Tips for stress reduction include:
B vitamins which help our nerves settle without causing fatigue.
Valerian root (500mg once a day in the evening) can help calm the tension from holiday driving and shopping.
Daily meditation helps us center on what really matters bringing us to the joy of the season, and the letting go of the stress.
Try to find 15 min a day to sit quietly and be present with yourself. Don't block unwanted feelings of anger, resentment, or disappointment. Quietly welcome all your emotions and release them to be changed. Emotions are only energy, but keep in mind that our energy is what we use to guide us throughout our day. Taking time for yourself can help you be more productive and less stressed throughout the month.
In my practice I guide patients through relaxation and teach them to incorporate relaxation in every day.
